Aeration, Seeding, Fertilizing
Aeration across the nation! Ah, yes, one of the most fascinating practices of the lawn care profession. In short, aeration is a method of providing soil breath-ability and porousness. That's accomplished by poking thousands of holes about 3" deep into a lawn by using a machine called, you guessed it, an aerator! What this allows is for the soil to have a little bit of flow so that air, water, nutrients, and seeds can actually find their way into the soil. This is the exact opposite of compacted soil, which has a hard time growing anything and also causes water to run off the land instead of into the roots of your plants. We're all about recreating nature in the lawn care industry. You may think, since when did nature use an aerator to poke holes in the ground? Great question! The answer lies in the mammalian species of grass eaters such as deer, cows, goats, sheep, buffalo, and even pigs (though they use their snouts!) These amazing grass loving animals have super sharp hooves, and in a sense, they were the first aerators of the earth. Boom. Question answered. Once we've aerated your amazing grassy space, our next step is to throw down climate appropriate grass varieties like Fescues, Kentucky, and Rye grass for the colder months and good ole Bermuda, Zoysia, and Centipede grass for the warm months. We're happy to share some of our tips of the trade with you. All of this just depends on the month, the kind of year its been, and your exact location within the counties. Heck, some folks even have several different micro-climates on their land that need different types of seeding. We've already thought about that and we'll see to it that it's seeded. The beautiful thing about a good grass seeding as that it dramatically lessons the amount of weeding and pesticide use. We don't want our kiddos to play in pesticides and we don't want that for you either! So we build up a very healthy culture of soil and grass. When the grasses are thriving, other plants simply fall by the wayside. No spraying needed, my friend. Grass is one of the most abundant species of plant on this planet. Grasslands cover large swathes of the earth. Our aerating and seeding service offers many different angles and strategies based on the time of year and micro-climates on your property to get things growing as fast and as bountifully as possible. As far as planning a landscape goes in South Carolina, grass is a big part of the equation. We also offer mulch and gravel delivery and spreading to balance out the look of the yard. If you simply need a couple seedings a year paired with some aeration, but you don't want to invest in a seeder, seeds, an aerator and all that jazz, look no further. We've got the gear, the know-how, education, and zeal for seed planting, plant growing, and eventually mowing. Don't forget to reach out for a free quote. Easy as pie. |
